The Process
Raw blank to finished piece
Every pen is a process — handcrafted, step by step, in our Barbados workshop.
01Select the blank
Hand-picked exotic hardwood — here, richly grained olivewood.
02Cut & drill
Cut to length and drilled to take the brass tube.
03Glue the tube
A brass tube is epoxied inside the blank to form the barrel.
04Trim flush
Both ends trimmed perfectly flush with the tubes.
05Shape & sand
Turned on the lathe to its final profile, then sanded smooth.
06Engrave, seal & polish
Personalised engraving, then sealed and polished to a deep shine.
07Prepare the kit
Pen hardware laid out and prepped for assembly.
08Press & assemble
Components pressed together by hand on the pen press.
09Test & inspect
Every pen is writing-tested and inspected before it leaves the shop.
10Box & deliver
Finished in a gift box with sleeve — ready to give.
